Tabor Electronics Introduces New Modulation Software Package “MODULAR” Tel-Hanan Israel, July 2007 – Tabor Electronics recently unveiled its latest wireless modulation software support addition to the Wonder Wave Series – ”MODULAR”. (Click to download a 15 days evaluation package) “MODULAR” provides wireless design and manufacturing engineers with access to the most flexible signal generation tool in the market - the Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG). Tabor's Wonder Wave Series of AWGs answer virtually all test stimulus needs at baseband or IF/RF levels, whether required signals are analog or digital. Additionally, unlike traditional generators with their performance limitations, Tabor’s Wonder Wave Series allow any signal, simple or composed, clean or noisy, ideal or impaired, to be downloaded and played back. “MODULAR” features a complete range of modulation schemes supports including: BPSK, QPSK, O-QPSK, pi/4-DQPSK, 8PSK, O-8PSK (EDGE)
QAM-16, QAM-32, QAM-64, QAM-128, QAM-256, QAM-512, QAM-1024
8-VSB, 16-VSB
2-FSK, 4-FSK, 8-FSK, 16-FSK, 32-FSK, MSK (including GMSK)
Sinusoidal Analog: AM, FM, PM
User-defined modulations schemes, data, baseband filters, and data
DVB-C: QAM-64, QAM-256. Scrambling, interleaving, Reed-Solomon and differential coding supported
CDMA IS95 (CDMAOne) Downlink: Spreading, channelization (Walsh codes), complex scrambling supported.
WCDMA IMT2000 (UMTS) Downlink: Spreading factor, complex scrambling codes, channelization (OVSF codes), CCPCH-SCH multiplexing.
IEEE-802.11b: DSS spreading, Barker sequences, CCK modulation. According to Ron Glazer, Manager, Business Development, "The introduction of “MODULAR” marks the first offshoot of the recent alliance between Tabor and Arbitrary Resources, a joint venture that promises to provide answers to the growing demand for custom solutions for various niche markets. He added, “Tabor is strongly committed to providing our customers with affordable, cost-effective solutions for specific applications – solutions that don’t stretch budgets.” Joan Mercadé, founder and CEO of Arbitrary Resources comment: “Tabor's new Wonder Wave Series of arbitrary waveform / function generators (AWG) assure outstanding performance of wide range of functions including sampling rate, number of channels, DAC resolution, and waveform memory. They are excellent hardware platforms for generation of highly accurate baseband IQ and IF/RF signals, suitable for testing a wide variety of components, systems, and subsystems found in today's wireless devices and strongly oriented towards SDR (Software Defined Radio) architectures. Arbitrary Resources, with its experience in the efficient synthesis of wireless signals is an ideal partner for Tabor’s excellent hardware in this fast-growing application area” About Tabor Electronics
